With an invitation of the Minister of Local Government Administration Mrs. Adrijana Hodžić, it is held the joint meeting with the Collegium of Chairpersons of Municipal Assemblies. Therefore, issues related to the unification of the administrative supporting system for the work of the Municipal Assemblies, the review of the Administrative Instruction on the composition of Committees, as well as the legal obligations regarding the process for review of legality, were discussed.
Chairpersons of the Municipal Assemblies have presented the issues that challenge their work and hence Minister Hodžić promised to support them by undertaking all the legal actions in order to increase the efficiency of the functioning of the Municipal Assemblies. Therefore, the Minister Hodžić emphasized that “MLGA is ready to undertake all the legal actions to support the work of the Municipal Assemblies. The Municipal Assemblies are the highest Municipal body, while the members of the assemblies are the elite of the society”.
The meeting is concluded with a joint agreement for immediate actions of MLGA to improve the legal framework, with the aim of increasing the efficiency of the work of the Municipal Assemblies.
