Ministry of Local Government Administration in support of the OSCE, on December 17,2014, has held a joint workshop with the Directors of the Legal Departments of the Ministries, the Legal Office of the Prime Minister, Chairman of the Kosovo Judicial Council and the chiefs of legal offices of the municipalities, to discuss about monitoring and supervision of the legality of acts of municipalities as well as about Draft Regulation for determining the charges and collection of payments for annual registration of motor vehicles in the administrative territory of the municipalities. 18 december 2014
Ministry of Local Government Administration in support of the OSCE, on December 17,2014, has held a joint workshop with the Directors of the Legal Departments of the Ministries, the Legal Office of the Prime Minister, Chairman of the Kosovo Judicial Council and the chiefs of legal offices of the municipalities, to discuss about monitoring and supervision of the legality of acts of municipalities as well as about Draft Regulation for determining the charges and collection of payments for annual registration of motor vehicles in the administrative territory of the municipalities. Secretary General of the Ministry of Local Government Administration, Mr. Besnik Osmani, in his introductory speech emphasized that the process of assessing the legality of acts should be advanced further in order to ensure the full implementation of the legislation at the local level, increase of transparency in the decision making process, as well as providing of sustainable services.
In this workshop, by the participants was discussed about further advancement of monitoring process and assessing of the legality of acts of municipalities, the sectoral ministerial coordination of assessing the legality of municipal acts, standardization of acts in the municipalities, increasing of their quality, the monitoring of implementation of legislation and also are presented practices of some European Union countries concerning the process of assessing the legality of normative acts at the municipal level.
