Upon the announcement of the Second Call for Proposals within the Cross-border Cooperation Programme Montenegro-Kosovo 2014-2020, a conference is organized to announce this call by the Programme Operating Structure, European Integration Office of Montenegro, Ministry of Finance of Montenegro – the Department for Contracting and Financing of EU Funded Programmes, Ministry of Local Government Administration of the Republic of Kosovo and the Joint Technical Secretariat of CBC Programme Montenegro-Albania and Montenegro-Kosovo.
Therefore, the General Secretary of MLGA, who is also the Head of the Operating Structure for Cross-border Cooperation Mrs. Rozafa Ukimeraj made the opening remark, and emphasized that “our Government undertook big steps in the recent years with the aim of implementing the obligations arising from the European Agenda and preparing the country for the pre-accession process. In this point of view, Kosovo is proud that it has achieved to sign the Stabilization and Association Agreement, since this marks the first step towards European Union membership”.
Part of the panel of this conference were: Mr. Luigji Brusa, Head of the Sector for Cooperation at the EU Office in Kosovo, Mr. Vuqiq Çetkovic, Head of the Operative Structure of Montenegro, Mr. Agron Hoti, Representative of the National Office for IPA in the Ministry of European Integration in Kosovo, as well as Mrs. Sanja Todoroviq, Head of the Joint Technical Secretariat of the Programme.
The overall indicative amount for the Second Call is 2,040,000.00 € and it will cover the thematic priorities, as follows:
•Promoting employment, labour mobility and social and cultural inclusion across both sides of the border, as well as
•Encouraging tourism and cultural and natural heritage.
