Minister of Local Government Administration, Elbert Krasniqi at the roundtable organized by DEMOS discussed with relevant stakeholders about the Law on the Capital City, the level of implementation and the effects achieved.
During this roundtable, Minister Krasniqi emphasized that it is extremely important for the Municipality of Prishtina to use budgetary opportunities to provide quality projects and services to the citizens of Prishtina.
Based on the Law no. 06/L-012 on the Capital City of the Republic of Kosovo, Municipality of Prishtina receives an additional grant from the central level, in the amount of not less than 6% of the total grant.
For 2023, the Municipality of Prishtina receives an additional grant of 15,312,600 euros from the total grant for municipalities.
At the end of the discussion, Minister Krasniqi reiterated the engagement and commitment of MLGA for inter-institutional coordination on issues of interest to the Municipalities and citizens of the Republic of Kosovo.
