The Minister of Local Government Administration, Elbert Krasniqi, attended the presentation of the MICS data 2025, conducted by the Kosovo Agency of Statistics (KAS) in partnership with UNICEF.
MICS 2025 represents one of the most important data sources regarding the situation of children, women, and families in Kosovo, providing a clear overview of the progress achieved as well as areas requiring further investment.
The data indicate progress in early childhood education participation, child survival, school readiness, and a reduction in the use of violent discipline.
In particular, the data help identify challenges that require further commitment to ensure inclusion and equal opportunities for children from the Ashkali, Egyptian, and Roma communities.
The analyses highlight the importance of using these data to formulate policies and measures that directly impact the improvement of the well-being of children and families in Kosovo.
