For the purpose of inter-institutional coordination, the Minister of Local Government Administration, Mr. Elbert Krasniqi, hosted in the meeting the chairwoman of the parliamentary commission for public administration, local government, media and regional development, the Member of the Parliament Mrs. Doarsa Kica-Xhelili.
Local government, municipal development, inter-municipal cross-border cooperation and other projects within the scope and the plan of MLGA, were some of the main themes that were discussed during this meeting.
Minister Krasniqi, informed MP Kica-Xhelili, for the municipal projects financed by MLGA, which reflect the support that the local level receives from MLGA, with the aim to improve the living conditions of the citizens. Additionally, Minister Krasniqi mentioned some of the projects that the Ministry of Local Government Administration intends to implement in the future, such as e-municipalities, Smart Cities and other projects which aim to increase the transparency, accountability and enabling easy access for citizens in the municipality through digitalization of the administration and services.
On the other hand, the MP Kica-Xhelili, informed Minister Krasniqi on the scope of work of the commission mentioning some of the main initiatives of this commission which are also related to the development of local government and municipalities.
