Minister of Local Government Administration, Elbert Krasniqi in the framework of the visit to Strasbourg and Brussels, had separate meetings with representatives of the European Commission and Parliament, including:
*Mr. Ladislav ILČIĆ, Member of the European Parliament from Croatia in the group European Conservatives and Reformists (ECR);
*Mrs. Katarina BARLEY, Vice President of the European Parliament. Member of Parliament from Germany in the Progressive Alliance of Socialists and Democrats group;
*Mr. Rainer WIELAND, Vice-President of the European Parliament. Member of Parliament from Germany in the European People’s Party (EPP);
*Mr. Olivér VÁRHELYI, Commissioner for Neighborhood and Enlargement;
*Mr. André De MUNTER, Charge d’Affaires for the Western Balkans and Turkey in the European Union’s Directorate-General for External Policies (EXPO);
*Mr. Klaus WELLE, Secretary General of the European Parliament;
*Mr. Romeo FRANZ, Member of the European Parliament from Germany. Member of Parliament in the Green group;
*Mr. Jörgen SIIL, Policy Adviser – Foreign Affairs and Security for the Socialist and Democrat Political Group of the European Parliament;
*Mr. Othmar KARAS, First Vice-President of the European Parliament from Austria in the Group of the European People’s Party (Christian Democrats);
*Mrs. Viola von Cramon-Taubadel, Member of the European Parliament from Germany in the Green Group and Rapporteur for Kosovo.
During this visit, Minister Krasniqi reiterated the commitment of the MLGA and the municipalities of the Republic of Kosovo in fulfilling the reforms within the European Reform Agenda (ERA II).
Additionally Minister Krasniqi thanked the representatives of European institutions for their support to municipal capacity building, in line with internal reforms, and in supporting us towards fulfilling the promised EU perspective, for the benefit of the citizens of Kosovo and local economic development.
