The Minister of MLGA, Elbert Krasniqi was received today in a meeting by the Minister of Public Administration of the Republic of Estonia, Mr. Jaak Aab with whom he talked about the areas of cooperation at the local level, digital transformation of municipalities, Kosovo’s path to become part of the Open Government Partnership – OGP as well as the application submitted for membership in the Council of Europe by Republic of Kosovo.
The Estonian Minister confirmed the readiness of his country to support Kosovo on its path of digital transformation, by offering their experiences in local level reform, digital governance, local finances, etc.
The two Ministers agreed that this cooperation will be formalized taking into account the willingness and concrete possibility of coordinating actions so that Kosovo also benefits from this digital experience of good governance, local government reform for the benefit of citizens, increasing transparency and accountability and delivery of real-time services to citizens.
