On the occasion of the International Day of Democracy, the Minister of Local Government Administration, Elbert Krasniqi, participated in the webinar organized by the UN-Habitat Office in Kosovo, where the theme was about strengthening democracy through citizen participation at the local level.
During his speech, Minister Krasniqi emphasized the importance of effective participation in the development of local democracy, “Effective participation is ensured only when all stakeholders starting from the family, school, community, media but also institutions work closely with each other and are aware of their contribution in society“.
At the end, Minister Krasniqi emphasized that accountability and transparency as two pillars of democracy are an integral part of his work and responsibilities within the Ministry of Local Government Administration.
