Minister of Local Government Administration, Mr. Elbert Krasniqi, has participated at the initial workshop for drafting the capital investment program, thus has highly appreciated the support provided by UN-Habitat in the field of good governance, spatial planning, promotion of comprehensive and transparent processes.
During his speech, Minister Krasniqi emphasized the importance of deepening inter-institutional cooperation, including the cooperation with international partners.
Thus, Minister Krasniqi stated: “I am pleased to open today this working meeting between our three institutions, for the drafting of the new 4-year Program 2022-2025. In this way we will deepen and advance our cooperation with UN-Habitat, as a very important partner that supports us in achieving our objectives. The special feature of this Program will be its extension from 7 municipalities so far to 38, as well as the bottom-up approach, where projects will be proposed and designed by citizens, various stakeholders, i.e. by the communities themselves, based on their needs.”
In the end, Minister Krasniqi expressed his full support for the start of the implementation of the program with concrete projects in the municipalities.
