Cooperation at the local cross-border level, digitalization of municipal services and joint interstate projects in the field of local development were the main topics which were discussed at the official meeting between the Minister of Local Government Administration, Elbert Krasniqi and the Minister of Public Administration, Digital Society and Media who also covers the Local Government in Montenegro, Mrs. Tamara Srzentić.
Minister Krasniqi welcomed Minister Srzentić, while thanking her for the cooperation and good relations between the two countries, aiming to deepen this cooperation in interstate projects and priorities.
During this meeting, Minister Krasniqi, informed Minister Srzentić, for MLGA strategic projects and development programs, which include the improvement of the legislative agenda at the local level, infrastructure and capital development of Municipalities, transparency and digitalization in providing more efficient municipal services to the citizens of the Republic of Kosovo.
On the other hand, the Minister of Montenegro Tamara Srzentić, thanked Minister Krasniqi for the hospitality and the willingness for the continuation of cooperation at the local level focusing on cross-border cooperation, digitalization and transparency.
Minister Srzentić informed Minister Krasniqi for some of the programs and main initiatives of Montenegro in the field of local development, while emphasizing public administration reform, digital transformation and provision of efficient services based on e-government.
At the end of the meeting, Minister Krasniqi and the Minister of Montenegro Tamara Srzentić agreed to deepen cooperation in areas of common interstate interest.
Whereas, tomorrow the Minister Tamara Srzentić, will be received in a meeting by the Mayor of the Municipality of Peja, Gazmend Muhaxheri, to continue with the visit to the projects financed within the cross-border cooperation program Kosovo – Montenegro.
