Minister of Local Government Administration, Elbert Krasniqi, received today in a meeting the new charge d’affaires at the Embassy of Japan in Kosovo, Mr. Keisuke Yamanaka.
Minister Krasniqi thanked Mr. Yamanaka for the visit and also congratulated him on the new post by offering full cooperation on behalf of the MLGA.
During this meeting, Minister Krasniqi and the Charge d’Affaires Mr. Yamanaka discussed joint projects in the field of local development, local democracy and youth support through the project ‘Municipalities for Youth’ funded by the Japanese government through the World Bank, where beneficiaries are 10 municipalities of the Republic of Kosovo, with special emphasis on marginalized youth.
Also, it was discussed about the promotion of cultural diplomacy between the two countries, tourism and the support of Kosovo through the Japanese organization JICA.
At the end of the meeting both parties agreed to deepen the cooperation in areas of common interest.
