On the World Habitat Day, Minister of Local Government Administration, Mr. Elbert Krasniqi while emphasizing the importance of addressing issues related to housing, climate change and environmental protection, signed a cooperation agreement with the UN – Habitat. The agreement enables the implementation of the new program for capital investments 2022-2025 for 38 Municipalities of the Republic of Kosovo.
The special feature of this program is that for the first time in Kosovo there is a bottom-up access where projects are selected by the citizens themselves based on their needs. This agreement also enables the assessment of the effects of the pandemic in all municipalities, where then based on the findings of this report will be oriented and funded the needed projects.
Regarding this agreement, the Minister of Local Government Administration Mr. Elbert Krasniqi, thanked UN-Habitat for the support and continuous cooperation emphasizing the readiness for cooperation in all relevant areas.
