During the official visit to Estonia, the Minister of Local Government Administration, Elbert Krasniqi held meetings with state personalities and visited Estonian centers to discuss and benefit from the Estonian experience, especially in the field of digitalization.
During the official visit, Minister Krasniqi visited the E-Estonia center, to get acquainted with the practices of this center, which has inspired various countries, world leaders and successful corporations about their way to digitalization.
Also, Minister Krasniqi was received in a meeting by representatives of the Association of Estonian Municipalities and Cities, the Executive Director Veikko Luhalaid, Deputy Director Jan Trei and Deputy Director Rait Pihelgas.
During this meeting, Minister Krasniqi informed the representatives of the Association of Estonian Municipalities and Cities about the scope and initiatives of the MLGA, emphasizing the need for reforms at the local level and municipal capacity building in order for digitalization to be as efficient and in the service of citizens.
On the other hand, the representatives of the Association of Estonian Municipalities and Cities, have expressed their willingness to cooperate with the institutions of the Republic of Kosovo, in the field of local economic development, twinning between two municipalities of the two countries and of course, assistance to municipalities in the digitalization of municipal services.
