At the invitation of the Minister of MLGA, Mr. Elbert Krasniqi, Minister of Health Mr. Arben Vitia, as well as Deputy Secretary General Mr. Trim Berisha, a virtual coordination meeting was held with the mayors of the Republic of Kosovo, in order to discuss new measures related to the COVID-19 pandemic.
Minister Krasniqi thanked the mayors for their commitment and dedication shown in managing the situation, overcoming challenges and implementing measures related to the global pandemic COVID – 19.
Minister Vitia, thanking the mayors for their commitment also stressed that we are now in a more difficult situation. He stressed the need for mobilization, coordination and a more proactive approach to the pandemic due to the aroused situation. He also discussed together with the mayors the need for some new measures, which in cooperation with all relevant institutions should be taken to maintain public health.
The mayors discussed the various challenges they are facing and gave their opinions and suggestions on the decisions to be taken by the relevant institutions.
In conclusion, the participants agreed that by jointly coordinating all actions around the new measures, they can manage to minimize and overcome the challenges they are facing with the COVID-19 pandemic.
