Minister of the Ministry of Local Government Administration Emilija Redzepi hosted in a meeting the Ambassador of the Republic of Croatia Danijela Barišić.
The current situation in Kosovo, the plan and the activities of MLGA, the situation of the local self-government, are only some of the discussion points during the meeting between the Minister Redžepi and Ambassador Barišić.
At the beginning of the meeting, the Minister thanked the Ambassador Barišić and the Croatian state for their engagement in supporting Kosovo and the whole Western Balkans.
Minister also emphasized the need for cooperation and further support in the local self-government, especially the municipalities with non-majority communities.
“Croatia’s support is a necessity when it comes to different EU projects for municipalities, projects which are related to rural development, water supply, electricity etc. Croatia currently holds the EU presidency, therefore there are experts in the institutions of European Parliament and any help is more than necessary for us”, said Minister Redžepi.
Ambassador Barišić informed minister Redžepi for the commitment of Croatia during the Presidency in the EU Council and organization of the Conference for the Future of Europe and the initiatives that are related to Western Balkans.
The interlocutors agreed to continue the cooperation that aims to improve the lives of all communities in Kosovo.
