Minister of the Ministry of Local Government Administration Mr. Elbert Krasniqi hosted in a meeting Mr. Tankut Soykan Deputy Head of Council of Europe Office and ROMACTED Project Officer Mrs.Sakibe Jashari. The purpose of the meeting was to inform about the second phase of the project ROMACTED II as well as to continue to coordinate the activities between MLGA and Council of Europe.
Both parties discussed about new projects and the cooperation especially in raising the awareness of local authorities for creating sustainable policies and actions with special emphasis on strengthening the Roma, Ashkali and Egyptian communities. Mr. Krasniqi and Mr. Soykan agreed that more needs to be done in the local level for inclusion as well as in providing services locally to vulnerable communities.
