The Ministry of Local Government Administration and Food and Veterinary Agency has held a joint meeting with mayors to discuss about the epidemiological situation of the lumpy skin disease (LSD).
The meeting was also attended by representatives from the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Kosovo, the Emergency Management Agency, the Security Force of Kosovo and the Kosovo Police. The purpose of this meeting was to discuss about the emergent steps and inter-institutional coordination that must be undertaken by the Government and municipalities to prevent the spread of animal disease that has appeared in several municipalities.
The outcome of the meeting was to draft a report on the situation in the municipality and address an action plan to the Government of the Republic of Kosovo in order to ensure a comprehensive coordination, as well mobilization of financial and institutional resources of government and municipalities for rapid prevention of this disease.
