Deputy Minister of the Ministry of Local Government Administration Mr. Bajram Gecaj and Director of the Swiss Office for Cooperation in Kosovo, who represents the Swiss Agency for Development and Cooperation, signed a memorandum of understanding, the project for Decentralization and Municipal Support (DEMOS).
The agreement was signed to support and strengthen municipalities in the development of local policies, legislation and raising the level of municipal performance.
The general purpose of the project is to support Kosovo in the transition process so that municipalities deliver effective services responding to citizens’ priorities and needs. Implementation of this project is to promote local governance in Kosovo, includes 12820000.00 grant in CHF and will be implemented in cooperation with the Ministry of Local Government Administration and contracted organization Swiss Foundation "Helvetas swist Interco" and the Association of Kosovo Municipalities.
