Today, at the offices of MLGA, General Secretary of MLGA, Ms. Rozafa Ukimeraj has formalized the cooperation with UN – HABITAT, represented by the Chief Technical Advisor Ms. Gwendoline Mennetrier, UBT, represented by Rector Mr. Edmond Hajrizi and KLGI represented by the Executive Director Mr. Besnik Muçaj.
The Memorandum of Understanding with UN – HABITAT foresees the provision of the framework for cooperation within which they will jointly implement the project “Comprehensive Development Program” (together with PAX and CBM) and other relevant activities. The co-operation of the parties will be done with a focus on fostering inclusive development and good governance through strengthening local governance and integrated spatial planning within the framework of efficient inter-municipal cooperation and multi-level governance.
The Memorandum of Understanding with UBT foresees the admission of a certain number of students as interns throughout the academic year. The number of students who will be accepted as interns and the tasks that they will have to accomplish during the internship as well as the cooperation for realization of activities in the field of sustainable local development will be determined by the Ministry.
The Memorandum of Understanding with the KLGI foresees the cooperation at the local level in the implementation of projects and activities that are in the interest of municipalities as well as the exchange of ideas and professional expertise in the development of activities and projects at the local level.
