On 21 September 2019 on the occasion of the visit of the delegation of the municipalities Frascineto and Civita, MLGA organized a joint meeting with the Chairman of the Municipal Assembly of Prizren Mr. Artan Abrashi. Hence it was discussed about the cooperation on different fields of mutual interest to both municipalities. After the meeting with the Chairman, the guests visited the historical center and other cultural monuments of the city.
On the second day of the visit of the delegation: 22 September 2019 the visits continued in the municipality of the Rahovec, where the delegation was hosted by the Mayor of the municipality of Rahovec Mr. Smajl Latifi. In the meeting it was discussed about the economic cooperation and the twinning between Arbereshe municipalities with the municipality of Rahovec. Additionally the representatives of the Arbereshe municipalities accompanied by the staff of the municipality of Rahovec and MLGA have visited different companies and businesses in the municipality of Rahovec.
On the third day of their visit 23 September 2019, it is signed the Cooperation Agreement that was previously initiated between Italian municipalities Frascineto and Civita with the municipality of Rahovec.
On the occasion of signing the international municipal Cooperation Agreement, the Minister of MLGA Mrs. Adrijana Hodzic emphasized the importance of the international municipal cooperation and the exchange of experiences with more developed countries while believing that the agriculture and truism present an extraordinary potential for cooperation between two municipalities.
Whereas the Mayor of Frascineto municipality Mr. Angelo Catapano and the Mayor of Municipality of Rahovec Mr. Smajl Latifi expressed their gratitude and appreciation for the MLGA’s initiative and pledged that the Cooperation Agreements would be extended to other areas as well.
On 24 September 2019, on the last day of the visit, the Delegation from the municipalities of Italy met with the Mayors of Municipalities Fushe Kosove and Lipjan, with whom they already have cooperation agreements. At the end of the day the delegation of the Arbereshe municipalities were hosted at MLGA, hence they discussed the further advancement of cooperation and the possibility of exchanges between the municipalities of the Republic of Kosovo and the municipalities of the state of Italy in the field of youth and education.
