Mr. Todosijevic received today in a meeting with the Assistant Administrator for USAID’s Bureau for Europe and Eurasia, Brock Bierman

 

Today, Minister of Local Government Administration, Mr. Ivan Todosijevic received in a meeting the Assistant Administrator for USAID’s Bureau for Europe and Eurasia, Brock Bierman, who is staying in Kosovo for an official visit.

At the meeting were present the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Communities and Return, Mr. Dalibor Jevtiq, the General Secretary of MLGA, Mrs. Rozafa Ukimeraj, and James Hope, Director of USAID Mission in Kosovo, Ms. Lisa Magno, Deputy Director of the USAID Mission in Kosovo, Director of the Office for Democracy and Governance, Mr. Christina Davis and Ms. Marina Dimitrijevic, Project Management Specialist.

Initially, Minister Todosijevic has thanked the Assistant Administrator for USAID’s Bureau for Europe and Eurasia, Brock Bierman for his visit to Kosovo, praising highly the support and assistance of the United States throughout these years. It was also stressed the need to continue supporting in all areas, especially in local self-government in Kosovo, aiming to create a more favorable environment for development and prosperity. Assistant Administrator for USAID’s Bureau for Europe and Eurasia, Brock Bierman thanked Minister Todosijevic for the hospitality and cooperation so far between the Kosovo institutions and USAID.

On this occasion, Minister Todosijevic and the assistant administrator Bierman,signed a Memorandum of Understanding, which ensures continuation of USAID’s support for the coming years in Kosovo.

Finally, Minister Todosijevic cordially thanked Mr. Bierman, and especially Mr.Hopes and his team for unsparing professional and financial support. Even today in this ceremony, I have the special honor to sign on behalf of the Ministry for the launch of a 5 year project “USAID / LEGO” in the amount of 12 million Euro, aiming to improve the performance of municipal services for citizens, inclusion of citizens in the decision-making process and strengthening of inter-ethnic relations, promoting of diversity in 14 municipalities.
