As part of the flag week, a tripartite agreement was signed between the Ministry of Culture, Youth and Sports, the Ministry of Education, Science, Technology and Innovation and the Ministry of Local Government Administration, which enables the realization of the project “Establishment of library network in Kosovo”.
The purpose of the tripartite project that was signed today, is to include the Kosovo libraries in a Library Service Platform that would enable the establishment of a functional network of the libraries in our country, compiling of a mutual catalogue, access to developed library systems, training in the use of technology, new formats and acquaintance with regional and world practices in the field of librarianship, increase the quality of library services in Kosovo through automation of services, while working in the network as well as establishing a national and international interlibrary borrowing network.
In this ceremony participated Elbert Krasniqi, Minister of Local Government Administration, Arbërie Nagavci, Minister of Education, Science, Technology and Innovation, Daulina Osmani, Deputy Minister of Culture, Youth and Sports, Elton Bahtiri, Vice Rector of the University of Prishtina, Fazli Gajraku, Director of the Kosovo National Library, laureate of the award “Pjetër Bogdani” prof. dr. Robert Montoya, representatives of the USA Embassy and other library personalities from the USA and Kosovo.
