The Ministry of Local Government Administration – Fulbright Clinton Fellow have delivered one-day training to the Municipal Officers for European Integration on "Values Based Leadership” on 04th of June 2015 at the former ‘Rilindja’ building.
Topics presented and discussed during the training were related to the leadership in the workplace:
1) Individual leadership;
2) Key aspects of leadership in the workplace;
3) Identification of personal leadership styles, strengths and weaknesses;
4) The 13 behaviours of high trust leaders;
5) Identification of areas for improvement in personal leadership skills;
The training was opened by the Head of the DEIPC, Ms. Rozafa Ukimeraj, who has welcomed the participants and thanked them for their participation. Ms. Micaela Thurman from the Fulbright Fellow Clinton has stressed out that training is important because the participants have the opportunity to explore different aspects of leadership and teamwork in the workplace, as well as capacity building and skill development of civil servants in the field of cooperation, transparency and communication.
The participants were divided into three working groups:
1) Communication, delegation and team management;
2) Building a culture at the workplace and developing a vision;
3) Work management, accountability and transparency;
The idea of the division of participants into groups was to see the overall view of MOEI on building a vision for a successful leadership. In the end, each group has made the presentation focused on the challenges at work and how culture at the workplace can be improved.
At the end of the training, Ms. Micaela Thurman and MLGA’s team have thanked the participants for their participation, contribution and interactivity shown during the training.
