Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of the Ministry of Local Government Goran Rakić signed memorandums of understanding with Mayors of ten municipalities (Gracanica, Gjilan, Istok, Leposavic, Viti, Zvecan, Zubin Potok, Peja, North Mitrovica and Fushe Kosove) which after delivery of project proposals and verification by the commission, in the invitation (call) opened by the ministry, met all the criteria and won the right for receiving the grant.
First of all, Rakić congratulated the Mayors on the funds won and emphasized that this is only the first one, in the series of calls from the ministry aimed at creating better local governments.
“The Ministry of Local Government will continue in the coming period to provide maximum support and assistance to all municipalities, by improving the infrastructure, for which funds have been provided, and also by contributing in improving the quality of life of citizens, which is also our priority,” Rakić highlighted.
The purpose of these projects is the development of socio-economic infrastructure, and the total value allocated from the MLG budget for capital investments is € 573,347.00, with the possibility of co-financing by municipalities.
