Redžepi met with World Bank representatives

The Ministry of Local Government Administration, headed by Minister Emilija Redžepi, met with World Bank representatives today, where they discussed about implementation of the three-year project “Youth Participation in Local Economic Development by the JSD Grant”.

The general purpose of this project is to improve the socio-economic inclusion of at least 3,000 young people who are not included, aged 15-29, from all communities with a focus on marginalized groups.

This project will be in the area of training and investing in youth initiatives involving young people in local economic development.

Minister Redžepi expressed her deep gratitude to the representatives of the World Bank, who have identified the problem of youth in Kosovo, and through this program include as many young people in certain municipalities as well as their further affirmation.

Assistance and support for young people is essential and should be a priority for both central and local institutions.

In the coming days, MLGA will focus on addressing youth problems, hiring them and supporting their initiatives.

MLGA cooperation with the World Bank will continue, and this was confirmed at today’s meeting that was held at the MLGA premises.
