The 5 th Forum of Cross-Border Cooperation Programs of the western Balkan countries was held

Under the patronage of the CBIB + and DG NEAR Program, Brussels, on the 17th and 18th November 2017 in Struga Macedonia, was held Forum 5th, within the framework of the Cross-Border Cooperation Programs by the Western Balkan countries. 20 october 2017, Prishtina

Under the patronage of the CBIB + and DG NEAR Program, Brussels, on the 17th and 18th November 2017 in Struga Macedonia, was held Forum 5th, within the framework of the Cross-Border Cooperation Programs by the Western Balkan countries.

During the two-day Forum, discussions were focused on the results and achievements in the implementation of the IPA II 2014-2020 programs, as well as on the challenges and plans for the upcoming implementation period. 
Out of 80 participants, it was also discussed about the initiation of Operational Structures in the preparation of the Cross-Border Cooperation Program under IPA III 2021-2027 as well as the next steps to be undertaken in the coming months.

The Secretary General of the Ministry of Local Government Administration, Mrs. Rozafa Ukimeraj, during her speech emphasized that Cross-Border Cooperation is a priority of this Ministry and therefore as such the implementation and further monitoring of the program will continue with the same implementation intensity as so far, which is considered to be successful. 

Kosovo, the Ministry of Local Government Administration, is in charge and partner in three programs with neighboring countries, namely Macedonia, Montenegro and Albania.

At the conference were participated: Mrs. Rozafa Ukimeraj, General Secretary at MLGA, Mr. Mehdi Ratkoceri U.D of the Head of the Department for Regional Cooperation and Development, Mr. Trim Berisha, Head of the Division for Cross-Border Cooperation and staff from the Joint Technical Secretariat.
