At the end-of-year event with municipal performance coordinators, the Ministry of Local Government Administration has published the results of the performance grant assessment for 2019 and launched the Electronic Municipal Performance Management System (EMPMS).
According to the results there are 19 beneficiary municipalities for 2019 grant. These 19 beneficiary municipalities have received the grant of 2.250 million euros. These municipalities will also receive an additional sum of EUR 504 thousand, as a result of co-financing with Swedish SIDA. Now, the performance grant is functioning as a common basket between the MLGA and the two donors: SDC and SIDA.
Electronic Municipal Performance Management System (EMPMS) being as a basic system for allocating grants to municipalities since 2019, will function in the online form of reporting.
At this meeting, MLGA for work needs has distributed laptops for the coordinators of performance, in order to encourage the enhancement of quality in the provision of municipal public services.
