Today, the Ministry of Local Government Administration, USAID/LEGA and fourteen municipalities signed the cooperation agreement for implementing the five-year Project.
Main objective of this project is the involvement of the citizens in the decision-making processes, development of the inter-municipal cooperation and improvement of the judiciary.
On this occasion, Minister Hodžić emphasized: “As Minister of Local Government Administration, I am here today to guarantee our institutional support, because through our continuous cooperation with USAID, we contribute in the successful implementation of this project. A good news is that the areas covered by the project fit the objectives of the Strategy and the work of our ministry, which facilitates our cooperation, towards the advancement of the local self-government.
Strengthening of inter-ethnic relations and promotion of diversity in municipalities, represents a specific objective in the Strategy for Local Self-Government 2016-2020, which is also a constant demand in the reports of EU institutions.
