Deputy Minister of MLG Mrs. Fatbardha Emini and the General Secretary of MLG Mrs. Rozafa Ukimeraj hosted in a meeting the head of the UN Women Office in Kosovo, Mrs. Vlora Nushi, thus they discussed the advancement of gender equality in Kosovo and the projects that UN Women is implementing at the local level.
Additionally, at the meeting was reconfirmed once again the willingness of the MLG to support and cooperate in promoting the rights and role of women in Kosovo, also in supporting the project funded by SIDA, in terms of overall gender budgeting at the local level, as well as preparations for the regional project for the advancement of gender rights, to be implemented through IPA3.
In this meeting information was also shared regarding the actions that have been undertaken to ensure equal gender representation in Municipalities and in the Ministry.
