The Government Approves the New Action Plan 2026 – 2028 for the Open Government Partnership, which contains 5 commitments after the proposal by Minister Elbert Krasniqi.
The Action Plan 2026–2028 includes these commitments:
• Strengthening transparency and citizen participation through the E-Municipality platform;
• Strengthening proactive publication and transparency in the Ministry of Finance,
• Standardizing and improving proactive publication of information on public services;
• Increasing transparency and public oversight of anti-corruption data;
• Strengthening the coordination and monitoring of the implementation of the Open Government Action Plan 2026 – 2028.
The Republic of Kosovo officially joined the Open Government Partnership in 2023, after a long process of lobbying and engagement.
Since then, the MLGA has been the institution responsible for the implementation of the National Action Plan, in cooperation with civil society organizations, municipalities and international partners.
Kosovo’s active participation in the OGP has brought visible benefits in advancing transparency, accountability and digitalization of public services, as well as in increasing the international credibility of our institutions.
