The Ministry of Local Government Administration has published the “Municipal Self-Assessment Report”. The report was drafted by MLGA in cooperation with UNDP in Kosova, in order to contribute to establishment of sustainable municipal structures, capacity building of municipalities and improving the access of citizens to services.
Secretary General of MLGA, Mrs. Rozafa Ukimeraj emphasized that this report will serve the municipalities as well as other stakeholders, to see in which areas have stagnation and for which areas should be given more importance, to make the necessary improvement in order to contribute in establishing the sustainable municipal structures, strengthening the capacity of municipalities as well as improving citizen access to services.
The Director of the Department for Municipal Performance and Transparence, Venera Çerkini has presented the municipal Self-assessment report.
The report will provide an overview of municipal capacities for carrying out the work duties within their obligations, and provides guidance on the needs and priorities for sustainable and functional development.
The meeting was attended by the Mayors of the Republic of Kosovo, representatives from UNDP and representatives from the Ministry of Local Government Administration.
