On 26 October 2016, the Ministry of Local Government Administration, in cooperation USAID’s ATK project has delivered a training to municipal legal officials and officers of the Municipal Assembly secretariats of 19 municipalities on the legal framework of the LSG and the European Charter of Local Self-Government.

On 26 October 2016, the Ministry of Local Government Administration, in cooperation USAID’s ATK project has delivered a training to municipal legal officials and officers of the Municipal Assembly secretariats of 19 municipalities on the legal framework of the LSG and the European Charter of Local Self-Government.
The training was opened by Ms. Rozafa Ukimeraj, General Secretary of MLGA, who greeted the participants and talked about the importance of SLSG 2016-2026 as well as problems and challenges that municipalities are facing. The director of the USAID’s ATK project Ms. Amy Denkenberger thanked the participants for their participation and stressed that the project will continue to cooperate with partners.
There has been a presentation on the promotion of the European Charter as well the legal framework of the LSG followed by a constructive debate between participants on the problems and challenges faced by municipalities especially in the field of legislation and the need for changes. MLGA has reaffirmed its commitment to support municipalities in provision of professional assistance and solution of problems.
