The Ministry of Local Government, in cooperation with the Ministry of Finance, organized a meeting with the mayors of municipalities through a video link. In the meeting it is discussed about the forms and methods of financing municipalities in 2021.
During the discussion with the mayors of the municipalities, the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Local Government, Goran Rakić, highlighted the full support provided by the ministry in solving the problems faced by local government. “An efficient and effective local government with the principles of good governance, all in the benefit of good life quality for the citizens, is a priority of the ministry,” said Rakić.
At the same time, the Minister emphasized that the MLG will try now on to be in close contact with the municipalities and that will find ways to meet everyone.
In the meeting were also discussed some of the alternatives for financing municipalities in the coming year, as well as plans for some new activities that will contribute to the improvement of local governments.
Hykmete Bajrami, Minister of Finance, also participated in today’s video meeting.
