The Deputy Minister of the Ministry of Local Government Administration Mr. Bajram Gecaj and Mayor of the municipality of Gjakovë/Djakovica Ms. Mimoza Kusari-Lila have visited the families belonging to RAE community in the municipality of Gjakovë/Djakovica within the framework of the campaign for free-of-charge registration of RAE community.
The Deputy Minister of the Ministry of Local Government Administration Mr. Bajram Gecaj and Mayor of the municipality of Gjakovë/Djakovica Ms. Mimoza Kusari-Lila have visited the families belonging to RAE community in the municipality of Gjakovë/Djakovica within the framework of the campaign for free-of-charge registration of RAE community.
On this occasion, the Deputy Minister of the Ministry of Local Government Administration Mr. Bajram Gecaj and Mayor of the municipality Ms. Mimoza Kusari-Lila have appealed to the community to use their rights to be equal citizens of Kosovo and participate in the census process.
During the meeting with the Deputy Minister Mr. Bajram Gecaj and General Secretary of MLGA Mr. Besnik Osmani, the Mayor of the municipality of Gjakova Ms. Mimoza Kusari-Lila has said that 5% Egyptians, 1% Roma and 1% Ashkali live in the municipality of Gjakova, while promising that the municipality will implement all the instructions regarding the registration of RAE community.
Moreover, MLGA’s teams have distributed leaflets, banners and T shirts in the Albanian, Serb and Roma language within the framework of the campaign for the registration of RAE community.
