As a part of its efforts to coordinate the joint activities aimed at meeting the obligations deriving from the EU’s agenda, the Ministry of Local Government Administration (MLGA) will organise a series of visits in all municipalities of the Republic of Kosova during February-March 2015 in order to address the obligations deriving from the Action Plan for the Stabilisation Association Agreement (APSAA). 19 february 2015
As a part of its efforts to coordinate the joint activities aimed at meeting the obligations deriving from the EU’s agenda, the Ministry of Local Government Administration (MLGA) will organise a series of visits in all municipalities of the Republic of Kosova during February-March 2015 in order to address the obligations deriving from the Action Plan for the Stabilisation Association Agreement (APSAA).
The Ministry of Local Government Administration, respectively the Department of European Integration and Policy Coordination has started with its series of visits. Today, on 18th of February 2015, the DEIPC has conducted its first visit in the municipality of Skenderaj.
The MLGA’s team consisted of the Head of the Department of European Integration and Policy Coordination Ms. Rozafa Ukimeraj, Officer for Integration and Re-Integration Ms. Vjosa Shehu, Officer for EU standards Mr. Yll Valla, Programming Officer Ms. Sibel Gutic and Officer for European Integration Ms. Fatbardha Lataj was welcomed by the Mayor of the municipality Mr. Fadil Nura, who has opened the meeting. This meeting was attended by all directors of the respective directorates and Officials for European Integration of the municipality of Skenderaj.
The following topics were discussed in the meeting:
1. Presentation of the annual report and findings for the municipality of Skenderaj for 2014;
2. Challenges derived from the Progress Report for Kosovo (2014) and obligations of the municipality;
3. The individual plan of the municipality on SAA for 2015.
Special emphasis was placed on the discussion of the municipal action plan for the SAA. The responsible directorates were appointed to meet the 2015 obligations deriving from the EU’s agenda for all 157 questions, which were formulated to ease the access and use for the municipal officers. In the end, the representatives of MLGA and municipality of Skenderaj agreed on a final version of the municipal action plan for the SAA. Municipalities will report on the obligations deriving from the European agenda on the quarterly basis same as last year.
