The meeting focused on discussions regarding opportunities to deepen inter-municipal cooperation between Kosovo and North Macedonia, with an emphasis on projects that yield tangible results for citizens.
The “Be Clean, Be Green” project, implemented by the Municipality of Haracina and the Municipality of Rahovec with funding from the European Union and the engagement from MLGA, demonstrates that cooperation beyond administrative boundaries can generate shared values.
During the meeting, Deputy Minister Batusha emphasized that “Municipalities are not merely administrative boundaries on a map. They are spaces where citizens live, where problems take shape, and where cooperation must be transformed into concrete solutions.”
Mayor Beqiri highlighted the local level as a priority, emphasizing that development is not achieved through words, but through projects, responsibility and collaboration. He added that when municipalities join forces, the primary beneficiary should always be the citizen.
