€3.24 MILLION FOR SIX NEW KOSOVO–NORTH MACEDONIA CROSS-BORDER COOPERATION PROJECTS

Implementation has already begun on six new projects funded through the IPA III Kosovo–North Macedonia Cross-Border Cooperation Programme (2021–2027); in the coming period, we anticipate concrete results that will directly impact the development of municipalities and communities in both countries.

The European Union is funding these six projects—implemented across Kosovo and North Macedonia—with a total value of €3.24 million.

The projects encompass concrete initiatives in environmental protection, climate change adaptation, risk prevention and management, tourism development, social inclusion, and enhancing competitiveness.

In Kosovo, activities will cover the Sharri National Park and the municipalities of Ferizaj, Kllokot, Mamusha, Rahovec, and Ranillug; in North Macedonia, they will span the Sharri and Mavrovo National Parks, as well as the municipalities of Brvenica, Butel, Gazi Babe, Gostivar, Mavrova, and Rankovc. As the Ministry of Local Government Administration, we will continue to work on strengthening cross-border cooperation and supporting municipalities in projects that bring development, empower communities, and improve citizens’ quality of life.

We extend our gratitude to the European Union for its continued support and partnership with the institutions of Kosovo and North Macedonia.
