The Ministry of Local Government Administration (MLGA) has started thematic meetings with municipalities, as part of the process of reviewing, developing and updating the indicators of the Municipal Performance Management System (MPMS).
On September 8, 2026, during two sessions, morning and afternoon, the indicators of Area 13 – Gender Representation, as well as Area 5 – Culture, Youth and Sports and Area 7 – Municipal Spatial Planning were discussed.
The meetings were attended by representatives of municipalities, representatives of MLGA, the donor – Helvetas DEMOS and expert Levent Koro. The discussions focused on the comments and proposals of municipalities, as well as on the clarification, improvement and updating of the indicators.
The aim is that thorough this collaborative process, to make the revised indicators clearer, more measurable, verifiable, and more appropriate for measuring the performance of municipalities.
This process will contribute to strengthening the planning and decision-making, as well as to continuously improve the services for citizens.
