The Legal Department of the Ministry of Local Government Administration (MLGA), in cooperation with the OSCE Mission, organized the regular meeting with the chairmen of municipal assemblies, with a focus on the process of assessing the legality of municipal assembly acts.
The meeting was attended by representatives of MLGA and OSCE, chairmen of municipal assemblies, municipal officials, as well as representatives of line ministries.
During the meeting, the report on the assessment of the legality of municipal assembly acts was presented and discussed, while special attention was paid to the challenges identified in practice during this process. The participants were also provided with clarifications regarding the correct interpretation and implementation of the legal framework in force.
The meeting also served as a platform for the exchange of experiences and practices between central and local level institutions, with the aim of advancing the quality of municipal acts and ensuring their compliance with the legislation in force. At the end of the meeting, the importance of continuous cooperation and coordination between the MLGA and municipalities was reiterated, with the aim of ensuring the fair and uniform implementation of legislation, strengthening legality and increasing the quality of decision-making at the local level.
