Monitoring visits are carried out in the projects of the Kosovo – North Macedonia Cross-Border Cooperation Programme

The Ministry of Local Government Administration, in cooperation with the Ministry of Local Self-Government of North Macedonia, has carried out monitoring visits in six projects contracted under the First Call of IPA III, as well as in one project under the Fifth Call of IPA II, under the Kosovo – North Macedonia Cross-Border Cooperation Programme.

The visits were carried out in Kllokot, Manushe, Rahovec, Prishtina and Hani i Elezit, with the aim of meeting closely with the project implementation teams, discussing the progress made so far and emphasizing the importance of implementing the planned activities in time and in accordance with contractual obligations.

Representatives of the Programme Structure in the MLGA, the Joint Technical Secretariat (JTS) and the European Union Office in Kosovo participated in the visits.

Monitoring visits are an important mechanism for monitoring project implementation, timely identification of potential challenges and providing the necessary support to beneficiaries, with the aim of successfully implementing planned activities and results.

During the next week, monitoring visits will also continue to the partners of these projects in North Macedonia, ensuring coordinated monitoring of project implementation on both sides of the border.
