The Ministry of Local Government Administration, in cooperation with the Ministry of Local Self-Government of North Macedonia, has continued to carry out monitoring visits to projects contracted under the First Call of IPA III of the Kosovo-North Macedonia Cross-Border Cooperation Programme.
Following the visits to project partners in Kosovo, this time monitoring visits were carried out to partners in North Macedonia, in Tetovo, Bogovinje, Rankovce and Skopje.
The visits were attended by representatives of the programme management structures from both countries – the Ministry of Local Government Administration and the Ministry of Local Self-Government of North Macedonia – as well as representatives of the Joint Technical Secretariat.
During the visits, meetings were held with the project implementation teams, where the progress achieved so far, the implementation of planned activities and potential challenges during implementation were discussed. In particular, the importance of timely implementation of activities and fulfillment of contractual obligations was emphasized, in order to achieve the planned results.
Monitoring visits represent an important mechanism for monitoring the implementation of projects on both sides of the border, timely identification of challenges and provision of necessary support to beneficiaries. Through this process, it is intended to ensure the successful implementation of projects and the achievement of the results set out in the Programme.
