The Ministry of Local Government Administration (MLGA), in cooperation and with the support of the OSCE Mission in Kosovo, organized a two-day workshop on the topic “Budget Transparency, Public Procurement and Citizen Participation in Local Governance”.
During the workshop, budgetary transparency, participatory budgeting, public procurement and cooperation between the municipal executive and local councils were discussed. Representatives of the municipalities exchanged experiences and good practices regarding the organization and financing of local councils.
The goal of the workshop was to advance transparency and accountability at the local level, as well as strengthen citizen participation in the decision-making and planning processes of the municipal budget.
The MLGA remains committed to supporting municipalities in building a transparent, inclusive and citizen-friendly local government.
