During his visit in USA, Deputy Prime Minister Petrovic has held his first meeting with Deputy Coordinator of Assistance for Europe and Eurasia, Mrs. Sandra Clark, at the State Department in USA.
"Progress in the decentralization process is not only felt by Kosovar policy but also by citizens of new municipalities: Gracanica, Ranilug, Klokot and Partes that is the best evidence of how the life has changed in their best"- said Deputy Prime Minister Petrovic during his meeting with Deputy Coordinator of Assistance for Europe and Eurasia, Mrs. Sandra Clark, at the State Department in USA.
During his stay in the USA, Petrovic Deputy Prime Minister will meet with Mayor of Washington, Mr.Vincent C. Gray (Director for Central and Eastern Europe), with Mr.Rick Holtzapple (National Security Advisor of White House) and with the representatives of the communities group in Washington.

Progress in the decentralization process, and the necessity of Kosovo for the USA support, were the main topics that were discussed between Deputy Prime Minister of Kosovo, Mr. Slobodan Petrovic with Deputy Coordinator of Assistance for Europe and Eurasia, Mrs. Sandra Clark, at the State Department in USA.
While presenting the achievements in the decentralization process in Kosovo, Deputy Prime Minister Petrovic said that decentralization process and creation of new municipalities, is the most successful story of Kosovo institutions, and the specific thing of this result is the participation and trust that citizens have given, to this process.

Mrs. Sandra Clark said the United States as before, are attending with great attention situation in Kosovo and that through the projects that operating in Kosovo, are helping the process of decentralization as well as local governance in many ways and this support will continue even in the future.
On the official agenda of the visit to USA, Deputy Prime Minister Petrovic will have meetings with senior officials of the offices of senators and congressmen of the US Congress, representatives of diplomatic missions and representatives of the group of communities of Washington.
Also, during the visit in USA, Deputy Prime minister Petrovic will hold a speech at Columbia University, Arcadia University in Philadelphia and Johns Hopkins University in Washington.
