Sekretari i Përhershëm i Ministrisë së Administrimit të Pushtetit Lokal, z. Besnik Osmani tha se reforma territoriale në qeverisjen lokale ka për qëllim trajtimin dhe analizën e komunave të Republikës së Kosovës në dhjetë vjetët e ardhshme dhe deri në finalizimin e saj që do të përcillet me debate dhe diskutime të të gjithë akterëve me interes.

Nisur nga perspektiva e MAPL-së, z. Osmani tha se qeverisja lokale në Kosovë është karakterizuar me procesin e bartjes së kompetencave në komuna dhe krijimin e komunave të reja për avancimin e komuniteteve në Kosovë, por kjo nuk mjafton për ta konsideruar si një misionin të mbyllur avancimin e mëtutjeshëm.

“Këto procese kanë dhënë rezultate por nuk paraqesin pikën e fundit të këtij procesi sepse qeverisja lokale në Kosovë duhet të jetë në përputhje të plotë me aspiratat evropiane që nënkupton avancimin e mëtejmë të parimeve të demokracisë lokale” tha sekretari Besnik Osmani.

Roman Lavtar tha se ndryshimet e kufijve territorialë nuk duhet të bëhen pa konsultim paraprak të bashkësive lokale, me mundësinë e organizmit të referendumit lokal.

Lidhur me këtë fenomen z Demi tha se komunat gjatë procesit të rekrutimit të punonjësve duhet ta respektojnë Vendimin e Qeverisë se Kosovës nr 10/46 i dhjetorit 2008 për kriteret e madhësisë së administratave lokale i cili përcakton rregullat dhe kufizimet lidhur me madhësinë e administratës në komuna.
