Është mbajtur tryeza e rrumbullakët e organizuar në kuadër të aktiviteteve të programit të USAID-it për Komuna transparente, efektive dhe llogaridhënëse (USAID TEAM) dhe Institutit Demokratik të Kosovës / Transparency International Kosova. Qëllimi i tryezës ishte diskutimi i Indeksit të Transparencës në Prokurimin Publik për Komunat e Kosovës për vitin 2017.
Me këtë rast, Sekretarja e Përgjithshme e MAPL-së znj. Rozafa Ukimeraj përpara të pranishme theksoi se “Këtë vit, kemi shënuar 10 vjetorin e kornizës ligjore për vetëqeverisje lokale dhe sigurisht se rezultatet nga viti ne vit, kanë shënuar progres të lehtë. Në vitin 2017, Komunat kaluan me sukses procesin e zgjedhjeve lokale; procesin e konstituimit të organeve lokale ashtu siç përcaktohet me kornizën ligjore për vetëqeverisje lokale. Gjatë vitit 2017, Komunat kanë mbajtur 56 takime të gjithëpërfshirëse me qytetarë. Krahas tyre, janë themeluar 27 komitete konsultative në komuna në 12 fusha përkatëse, ka pasur 56 raportime të kryetarëve para kuvendeve të komunave, si dhe 1261 akte të publikuara në ueb-faqet komunale (apo 90% nga totali i akteve të aprovuara).

Ne tashmë kemi filluar një proces transparent të monitorimit të rekrutimit të pozitave të shërbyesve civil (projekt i mbështetur nga ambasada britanike dhe implementuar nga BIRN); kemi vlerësuar projekt-propozimet për kategorinë e subvencioneve në bashkëpunim me shoqërinë civile; vlerësimet e ligjshmërisë së akteve komunale bëhen publike në kohë reale; kontratat e prokurimit janë publike dhe aktualisht e kemi të hapur ftesën për të gjitha organizatat e shoqërisë civile që të paraqesin interesin e tyre për monitorimin e të gjitha proceseve tenderuese. Ne kujdesemi që në të gjitha komunat të bëhet një standard i transparencës, pavarësisht se arritja e standardeve më të larta mund të jetë e vështirë.
