Deputy Secretary General of MLGA Mrs. Çerkini signs Memorandums of Understanding for the implementation of the projects “Municipalities for Youth – M4Y”

Today the Deputy General Secretary of MLGA Venera Çerkini has signed agreements for the implementation of the projects “Municipality for the youth – M4Y” with the groups of beneficiaries in the municipality of Ferizaj. The projects are expected to start to be implemented from this week and will be completed in 2023.
This project, in addition to providing grants to the beneficiaries, has also organized trainings on project management and soft skills for more than 1,500 young people in these municipalities. The trainings also included the additional design methodology of UNICEF’s UPSHIFT projects.
The project ‘Municipality for youth – M4Y’, which is implemented by the Ministry of Local Government Administration, in cooperation with 10 municipalities in Kosovo, has announced the winners of the first wave of grants dedicated to youth in Kosovo. These grants aim to improve the living and social conditions of young people in the municipalities of Kacanik, Ferizaj, Hani i Elezit, Junik, Rahovec, Gllogoc, Zvecan, Ranillug, Skenderaj and Vushtrri.
The project is financed by the Government of Japan through the support of the Japan Fund for Social Development, administered by the World Bank and implemented by the Ministry of Local Government Administration and the Community Development Fund (CDF) as an implementing partner.
