The Ministry of Local Government Administration of the Republic of Kosovo in cooperation with the Ministry of European Affairs of Montenegro within the framework of IPA II Cross-Border Cooperation Program Montenegro – Kosovo, today for the first time in the city of Peja organized activities to mark the European Cooperation Day.
The Deputy Minister of MLGA, Avdulah Dješević, as well as the Head of Economic Cooperation at the European Union Office in Kosovo, Mr. Johannes Madsen STENBAEK, addressed the attendees with a speech regarding the event.
Within the framework of the Cross-Border Cooperation Program Montenegro – Kosovo within the IPA II perspective, 24 projects have been contracted with a total value of over 9 million euros, some of which have been successfully completed while some are still in the implementation process. The absorption level of EU funds within this program is 99.43% of the funds that were available from the European Union.
The IPA III 2021-2027 program for the Montenegro – Kosovo Program has been finalized and was approved on May 31, 2022 by DG NEAR in Brussels, in the amount of 8.4 million euros, while Law No. 08/L-148 for the Ratification of the “Partnership Agreement for the financial framework between the Republic of Kosovo and the European Commission for the agreements for the implementation of the financial assistance of the European Union for Kosovo within the framework of the Pre-Accession Instrument (IPA III)” has entered into force on July 2022.
