Office for Public Communication within MLGA is carrying out visits to municipalities of Kosovo, in order to closely oversee the technical and professional support that the USAID – TEAM (Transparent, Effective, and Accountable Municipalities) Project is providing to municipalities of Kosovo in advancement of information, public communication, transparency and citizen participation in decision-making. Additionally, they are also identifying the needs of municipal information officials, in order to advance internal capacities.
Deputy Head Vjollca Jashanica, accompanied by the TEAM Project Communication Specialist, Sali Salihu, during these visits they have discussed about the implementation in practice of the municipal communication strategies, challenges in the implementation of certain activities, the immediate needs for support in this regard, as well as they have presented the manual of standard action procedures for publishing acts and other documents in the municipal webpages.
After the visits in Lipjan, Gjakove, Gjilan and Podujeve the work visits will continue also in other municipalities, with the aim to create a clear picture of the needs of municipalities of Kosovo for further support in advancement of communication practices.
